InHouse Event Solutions has been appointed as the official accommodation booking agent for the RCPA AACB Chemical Pathology Course. On behalf of attendees of the congress, special accommodation rates have been negotiated at the course hotel and an apartment within close proximity of the meeting venue, Rydges Southbank.

The special rates listed will be available until 8 January 2027 or until sold out. Please book early to secure your room. A valid credit card is required to secure your booking. Payment for accommodation will be charged by your selected hotel and not by AACB or InHouse Event Solutions. Each hotel has its own terms and conditions. It is essential that you read these thoroughly in the hotel description during the booking process to ensure that you are fully aware of all charges relating to deposits, amendments, cancellations and no shows. By Car / Driving Directions

The hotel’s entry is located on Glenelg Street, best accessible from Merivale Street.

Use your GPS or mapping app to navigate to 9 Glenelg Street, South Brisbane (corner of Glenelg Street and Grey Street).

If approaching from the city centre, cross the Victoria Bridge, Captain Cook Bridge, or William Jolly Bridge and head toward South Bank / Cultural Precinct.

From major roads such as the Pacific Motorway, follow the signs toward South Bank / South Brisbane.

 

Parking / Vehicle Access Notes

Valet parking is available at the hotel. There is no self-parking option provided by the hotel.

Valet parking pricing;

  • Cars – $59 per night
  • Motorcycles – $30 per night
  • Trailers – $55 per night
  • Casual – $49 to 5pm, nightly rates apply afterwards – subject to hotel availability

Additional parking charges may apply for late checkouts, departure after 1 pm, or on days with special events.

Guests should contact the hotel ahead of arrival for details about vehicle height/length restrictions.

 

By Public Transport

The closest train station is South Brisbane Station. Upon exiting the station, you will see the Queensland Performing Arts Complex. Turn right onto Grey Street. Walk approximately 300 metres along Grey Street; the hotel is on the same side as the station. It’s about a 4-minute walk from South Brisbane Station to the hotel.

 

Bus

The most convenient access to bus transport is the South Bank busway station or Cultural Centre station.

 

Ferry / CityCat

The South Bank ferry wharf (CityCat / RiverCity services) is located in the South Bank Parklands precinct. From the wharf, it’s an easy walk through the South Bank Parklands toward Little Stanley Street and then across to the hotel.

 

From Brisbane Airport

By car or taxi/ride share, travel time is roughly 20–25 minutes depending on traffic

Alternatively, you can take public transport:

  • Airtrain or public transit from the airport into Brisbane’s central network
  • Transfer to a train heading to South Brisbane Station
  • Walk from South Brisbane Station to the hotel (300 m / ~4 minutes)
